Axl Rose Sued After Knocking Fan’s Teeth Out
- in Latest
Axl Rose is being sued by a Guns N’ Roses fan after the singer threw a wireless microphone offstage and knocked the fan’s teeth out.
The incident happened during a Guns N’ Roses gig in Australia when fan Darren Wright had his two front teeth damaged and his mouth injured by the flying microphone.
Wright told The West Australian: "With the bright lights and explosions, I couldn't see anything. The next thing I knew, I was whacked in the mouth. I thought I had been punched.
"I was quite stunned and it took a few seconds to realise what was going on. I could feel bits of teeth in my mouth. Then someone is climbing through my legs to grab the microphone.
"Those cordless microphones are not light. I'm surprised it didn't do more damage. At the very least, I want someone to pay to get my teeth fixed."
A representative of Axl Rose allegedly tried to contact Wright to offer him the microphone signed by the singer as a peace offering but unsurprisingly, the gesture was declined.
Wright has now commenced legal proceedings against Rose and is thought to be trying to claim at least $5,000 in order to repair his broken gnashers.
