The official midweek UK chart update has seen girl group 'The Saturdays' shoot to number one position, this must be great news for their fans who have waited many years to see them top the chart.

Their latest song 'What About Us ft Sean Paul' seems to have been one of their biggest successes and is on course for an official number one on Sunday.

Lately, the group have had growing pressure has been on the girls to gain a number 1 hit. Perhaps finally with the help of Sean Paul they can achieve this

Although the girl group has been around since 2007, they have yet to gain a number one hit, however they have had eleven top ten singles. At the minute its looking like they will be getting their first chart hit.

The group is based in London and consists of  Frankie Sandford, Una Healy, Vanessa White, Rochelle Humes and Mollie King.

'What About Us' is their 14th single to be released in the UK, its however the first to be released in the USA. The song will also appear on their fourth studio album.

The Saturdays are currently performing gigs in the UK, their next event is in Dublin, March 28th.

Lets see if they finally make it this weekend, perhaps this is one of their biggest chances now with the timing of the charts.
