Fall Out Boy have hinted that both Courtney Love and Elton John could be appearing on their new album entitled Save Rock and Roll.

Rumours had been flying around the internet after lead singer Patrick Stump tweeted a picture of himself with music legend Elton John along with the caption #saverockandroll.

The band’s bassist Pete Wentz also added to the speculation after he tweeted saying: “wanna guess what blonde hair singer we got on the record?”

A fan responded to his question asking if it was Elton John and Wentz’s response was: "it's someone else in addition to Elton John."

The Fall Out Boy Twitter page later put fans out of their misery by tweeting:  "It's @Courtney, b***h #SaveRockAndRoll." They also posted a link to a video where Love can be heard singing the line just before the chorus of one of the songs off the new album kicks in.

Artwork for the cover o the album has already been released and shows a picture of a punk and a monk which the bands explained by saying: " We came across the punk and monk image on the internet and it really solidified what we were trying to get across on the record - the idea of old and new clashing."
