Ant and Dec are set to re-enter the charts this weekend with their 1994 hit “Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble”.

The Geordie pair performed their song on Saturday night’s Saturday Night Takeaway as part of the end of show finale which saw three bands from the Big Reunion and the pair performing on stage.

Since the show, the song has been racing up the iTunes chart and has since hit the number one position which it is currently sitting at ahead of Sunday’s official number one single by the Saturdays.

It’s not just the single that has done well as a result of the boy’s nostalgic performance as the episode of Saturday Night Takeaway became the most viewed of the current series with a whopping 8.24 million viewers.

Neither Ant nor Dec can believe how well the song is doing again and have both taken to Twitter to air their views. Ant tweeted: "This is getting ridiculous now! What a show last night. Loved it. Aching all over mind!” Dec later tweeted: "Had the weirdest dream. Dreamt me and Ant did #LetsGetReadyToRhumble live on telly... oh, hang on... that actually happened didn't it?"

The UK will have to wait until Sunday to see if “Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble” will officially become number one.
