Jessie J Defends Her Performance on The Voice
- in Latest
Jessie J has been left furious after her performance as a judge on Saturday’s first episode of The Voice was widely criticized.
The Price Tag singer claims that what viewers saw was a highly edited version of what actually happened.
Many people were annoyed after she appeared to be attention seeking through the auditions but Jessie defended herself on Twitter saying: "And we hung out when? An edited version is never the full story. You wouldn't write a review on a book after reading 3 pages would you?"
TV critics also mostly gave the show negative reviews with The Sun’s TV critic Ally Ross saying: "But what really kills the mood is the malign presence of Jessie J, who still mistakes being charmless, rude, egotistical and unpleasant for being ‘real’."
Viewers also took to Twitter to air their views with one person tweeting: "Been watching The Voice for one minute and I already want to slap Jessie J. Sit down you attention-seeking t*t."
The Voice went up against Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway but failed to win over viewers and ended up with poorer ratings than last year.
