Fears have been raised over Meatloaf’s health after his show in Nottingham was cancelled just an hour before it was due to start.

A statement on the venue’s official website read: “[The show has been cancelled] due to medical reasons affecting several members of the band.”

It is unclear whether Meatloaf himself has been taken ill or not.

A spokesperson for the Capital FM Arena where the show was due to take place advised that ticket holders were made aware of the situation half an hour before doors were due to open at 7pm but did not elaborate any further on the situation.

The show has now been rescheduled for 20th May and everyone who has a ticket for the cancelled show will still be able to get in to that date which will mark the final of the Last At Bat Farewell Tour.

It is still uncertain whether the health issues of whoever is involved will be resolved in time for the next date of the tour which is due to take place in Manchester on 17th April but there certainly isn’t much recovery time for them.

Meatloaf has not yet commented himself on the state of the situation but is expected to soon.
