KBS, a South Korean network have banned Psy’s new music video for his song Gentleman from being shown because the singer is shown abusing public property at the start of the video.

The Korean singer is seen being very ungentlemanly in the video by doing things like pulling chairs out from under unsuspecting women but the scene that KBS particularly took issue with was one where Psy kicks over a traffic cone that says “no parking” on it.

In a statement released by the company, they explained that the video does not meet their high standards and the reason they have stopped showing the video is: "infants or children haven't fully developed a standard for judgment and tend to believe and follow what's shown on television."

The company has previously banned videos for similar reasons although rarely for such a tenuous reason. There are many other scenes where Psy is seen doing worse things such as pulling off a lady’s bikini top so it seems odd that they took issue with that scene in particular.

Gentleman is quickly on course to become another viral sensation although Psy insists that he wasn’t desperately trying to do so.

"I gained international fame almost by accident but that does not mean that I will make desperate efforts to maintain that global popularity.  I will just continue to do what I have been doing for all these years. If it satisfies people's appetite it will. If not, it won't,” he said.
