Simon Cowell has revealed that he will be starring in his own feature length animated film.

He recently sold the concept of the film which he has been playing around with for close to ten years and being a fan of animation himself, is hoping to star in it.

In an interview with the Daily Star, Cowell said: "I have an animation movie I have just sold. It’s my concept. It’s an idea I had ten years ago and the first studio I've gone to wants it.

"Making an animation is something I've always, always, wanted to do because I love cartoons.

"We only did the deal a few weeks ago so I'm not allowed to say any more."

Simon is aiming to get the movie out in time for Christmas 2013 and will of course be aiming to get some of the biggest names in Hollywood to star in it.

An insider added: "He wants to feature in some way. He also wants the biggest Hollywood A-listers to do the voiceovers. Don’t be surprised if one or two familiar faces from his reality shows appear, too."

At the moment, Cowell is in the middle of working on the Paul Potts and One Direction films so maybe this could be a new direction for his career?
