Musical reality TV star Peter Andre has been revealed as the new presenter of daytime TV series 60 Minute Makeover.

The star who started out with a relatively successful pop career back in the 90s has starred in many reality shows since first coming into the public eye but this will be his first time in a permanent presenting role.

Peter said of his new role: "I love these sort of shows and although this is a completely different experience for me, it is a much-loved show and I am hoping to bring a new twist to it."

Amanda Stavri, the executive producer of Shiver which is the company that produces the series said, "Peter brings his inimitable warmth and enthusiasm to the show and we’re thrilled to have him on board."

The show involves a team of designers travelling around the country and making over people’s houses in, as the name suggests, just one hour.

Peter has had a tough year so far with his older brother Andrew losing his battle with cancer and this had had a huge impact on Peter, which is evident on his current TV show “Peter Andre: My Life”.
