Twitter #Music Boss Quits After One Week

in Latest

Twitter’s new #Music service has got off to a bit of a rocky start with the person who led the project leaving after just one week.

Kevin Thau has been at the forefront of the project from the start but has apparently jumped ship in order to start a new project.

It has been reported by Music Week that Thau is now the chief of a new company called Jelly that was set up by co-founder of Twitter Biz Stone but little else is known about the company at the moment.

Thau isn’t the first person to jump the Twitter ship in order to work for Stone’s new company.

Twitter’s first designer, Vitor Lourenco left Twitter and has now become a consultant for Jelly and Ben Finkel is also Jelly’s new CTO.

#Music was launched last week after much speculation about the nature of the app. It allows users to view suggestions of new music which the app delivers based on the artists they follow through the site.

At the moment, the app is only available to iPhone and iPad users although it is expected to roll out to Android and Windows users in the coming months.
