Sharon Osbourne Called as Witness in Michael Jackson Case Sharon Osbourne has been called as a witness in the court case against promotions company AEG regarding the death of Michael Jackson.
The Jackson family are suing the company claiming that they knew that the singer was unwell just before his death but still encouraged his This is it tour to go ahead.
Sharon received the papers summoning her to court yesterday after she revealed that she might have some evidence in support of Katherine Jackson’s claims that AEG knew of Michael’s illness and that the doctor they hired to take care of him, Conrad Murray was negligent.
Sharon said: "I was like, what do you do [after being served]? You do your duty. Somebody asks you to come to court, you are subpoenaed and you do your duty.
"There were certain people that worked at that company [AEG Live] that knew Michael Jackson was not well and didn't care because it was business. And, at the end of the day, whether he performed or he didn't, they would still make money, and I've had conversations with certain people at that company who have said exactly that to me. "If they would like me to go to court, the Jackson family, I will stand up and tell you who said that to me."
A further revelation in the case has shown that Conrad Murray was deeply in debt when he first started working for Michael and was standing to earn huge sums of money from the job.
