X Factor alumni Ella Henderson has released a demo version of her new track Waiting.

It is not yet known whether the track will appear on her forthcoming debut album but it is the first glimpse of her new material that she has given since leaving the X Factor.

Along with the track, Ella also posted the following comment along with it: "I wrote this ballad during my first session back in the studios with the TMS boys! x Kinda relates back to my experiences of the past year. hope u enjoy Ella x. Ps. Excuse the cough ;)"

Ella is currently working on her debut album which is expected to be released through Simon Cowell’s label SyCo later this year although this hasn’t been confirmed as yet.

On her decision to sign with Cowell’s label, Ella said: "It was like having the choice of many different five-star hotels. It was a really nice decision to have to make. I finally decided on Syco and have definitely picked the right one."

"He [Cowell] knows exactly what he's doing. He knows how much I love music.

"The most important thing I was looking for was to be involved creatively, and which label presents me with the best team to bring the best out of me. The fact that he is letting me be involved creatively is overwhelming."
