Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong has less than favourably compared Korean rapper Psy to Herpes.

He posted a picture of Psy on his Instagram account along with the caption: "This dude is the herpes of music. Once you think it's gone, it comes back. #herpes #flareup #pleasegoaway"

Psy initially didn't know what herpes was but after having it explained to him, he was quite flattered by the comparison saying: "I kinda like it, it's cool. So he's saying I'm like herpes?

"I should say something to him. What was his name? Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day, he's saying I'm like herpes, it keeps coming back. I think it's really cool and I appreciate that. Thank you."

Psy has recently spoken out about his relief of not ending up as just another one hit wonder following the success of his second single Gentleman saying: "I was not excited, I was terrible; I was so nervous. My only goal was to avoid being called a one-hit wonder."
