The Official Charts Company has revealed the most streamed songs of the last year.

Fun.’s We are Young was announced as the most streamed audio track of the last year, all as part of celebration of the year anniversary of the UK's Official Streaming Chart.

They were closely followed by Carly Rae Jepsen’s monster hit from last year Call me Maybe which has also since re-entered the top 100.

Other songs that came highly in the chart were Rihanna’s Diamonds and Swedish House Mafia’s Don’t you Worry Child.

Managing director of Deezer UK Mark Foster has recently spoken out about the importance of such music streaming websites saying: "These figures show just how significant streaming now is in the UK, with more than four billion streams over the past year it's now an essential way of consuming music.

"With the Top 100 tracks accounting for less than 10% of the total stream, they are a mere drop in the ocean of the total tracks listened to."

Since the streaming chart was launched last year, 4.405 billion tracks have been streamed which shows the growing popularity of streaming music.
