Psy has revealed that there is a strong possibility that he could be releasing his first international album later in the summer.

The rapper from South Korea has already had six studio albums in his home land but following the success of singles Gangnam Style and Gentleman, has started work on his first album to get an official release over here.

Psy said to MTV in a recent interview: "I've got to promo this song '[Gentleman]! Next week, I am starting to travel again, [going] to seven or eight countries.

"I'm going to be done by end of June, and then, after that I'm really going to work hard on the album, so that hopefully I can release it during the summer season."

Despite the fact that people in the West have only recently been made aware of Psy, he has been in the public eye in Korea for years.

Psy’s latest hit Gentleman has recently been given a makeover in the form of a 1920s theme by a group of musicians. They were inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming movie The Great Gatsby.
