Lucy Spraggan Reveals Debut Single
- in Latest
X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has released a video to accompany her debut single online.
She first came to the public’s attention after taking part in the 2012 series of the X Factor and caused some controversy when she became one of the first acts ever to be allowed a free pass on to the next week after falling ill.
She later dropped out o the process herself saying that it wasn't fair to her fellow contestants if she was allowed to go through two weeks in a row without performing and has since been touring and working on her new material.
Her first single Lighthouse is to be released on 1st July and in a recent interview where she spoke of the track she said: "Lighthouses are my good omen.
"When I was in the US and stuff went wrong, when I'd miss the last bus or I'd run out of money, I'd always see a lighthouse on a piece of paper, beer bottle or in real life then things would start getting better."
The track was co-written by Ordinary Boys frontman Samuel Preston and so already has an influential name in music behind it.
Spraggan will be taking part in a sold out tour later this year.
