Paloma Faith Gig Interrupted by Football Manager

Paloma Faith’s recent gig was left ruined after Sir John Madejski invaded the stage.

Paloma was performing at the National History Museum for the Waitrose Summer Party when the Reading FC owner staggered intoxicated onto the stage.

Witnesses who were at the event said that Madejski walked towards Paloma with his arms open as if to hug her before security intervened and he was escorted off stage.

A member of the audience at the time of the incident told The Sun newspaper: "When John first staggered up on stage nobody really knew who he was.

"He was wearing a similar suit to the security staff so they assumed he was one of them. It wasn't until he approached Paloma and opened his arms as if he was trying to hug her that they sprang into action."

The 72 year-old Madejski claims that he was just asking the crowd to be a bit quieter but perhaps unsurprisingly, it didn't work.

Paloma said after the incident: "It must've been all the free champagne. Thank God I'm from Hackney because I don't fear anything. I didn't flinch."
