Simon Cowell Wants to Shake up Eurovision

Music mogul Simon Cowell has revealed that he is interested in getting involved in next year’s Eurovision in an attempt to improve the UK’s performance.

The idea came about after one of his followers on Twitter said: "The UK needs you to bring the Eurovision under your control and restore national pride as the Eurovision kings have fallen."

Cowell, never one to be modest seems to agree that he could be just what the country needs to get back on the Eurovision radar.

He replied by tweeting: "I was thinking that maybe I could work to find the right artist to represent us. If they would let me."

This isn’t the first time that the idea of Cowell helping with the UK’s entry has been bought up. Back in 2010, producer and former Pop Idol co-star Pete Waterman claimed that Cowell had always wanted to be involved in the Eurovision process and was just waiting for the right opportunity.

The last few years has seen the UK entries not make much of an impression during the competition but it has been claimed that Little Boots has expressed an interest in representing the UK for the 2014 contest.
