Jon Bon Jovi to Perform for Free in Spain
- in Latest
Jon Bon Jovi has announced a move that will make tickets for his upcoming gig in Spain cheaper than they usually are.
He will be waiving his own fees for the concert in Madrid next month in a nod to the country’s ongoing financial troubles.
The move will mean that the price of the average ticket will be just €18-€39 (£15-£23) which compared to the average at his Manchester gig which will be €76, is quite a reduction.
He explained his decision by saying that he was concerned that Spanish fans would not be able to afford to go to the concert and therefore would have to miss out.
"It's a way to thank the Spanish fans for 30 years of support," he said.
The Madrid gig had originally been omitted from the European tour after it was feared that the show may not sell out but that is unlikely to be a problem now that Jon will essentially be performing for free.
Jon Bon Jovi has been in the news recently after warning Justin Bieber that he needs to respect his fans more after turning up late to his London show and it seems that he is leading by example by paying tribute to Spanish fans.
