Blondie front woman Debbie Harry will be appearing on the front cover of The Sun’s magazine Fabulous for their “age issue” and has announced through it that “sex is very important”.

The magazine will be in this Sunday’s issue of the magazine and in it Harry talks frankly about sex and sexuality saying that she feels just as sexy at 67 as she did in her 20s.

She says: "Whether it's just pure sex or having that physical contact, sex is very important.

"Most people need it."

She also talks about One Direction covering the Blondie song One Way or Another in their mash up with Teenage Kicks.

"I thought it was fun!" she said. "It was also fitting for the charity and achieving things 'one way or another', so it was all very positive."

Harry also opens up about cosmetic surgery in her interview for the magazine saying: "A few needles in the face? It's not a major thing," she continued.

"What offends me and horrifies me more is bad surgery. When I see somebody that's permanently changed everything about their face it's like, 'Oh my God, were you so miserable about yourself before?'"
