James Arthur’s X Factor winner’s single has become the most successful ever both in the UK and internationally.
Impossible, a cover of the Shontelle song was first released in the UK when James first won the show back in December and shot straight to number one in the singles chart.
It has gone on to sell over 1.3 million copies in this country alone and is still going from strength to strength abroad.
The song has managed to reach the top of the charts in several other countries including Spain, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
James also managed to reach number two in Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland.
He only made the top five in Belgium, Austria and Germany but that is still an impressive feat for a relatively unknown artist.
The French saw him reach number ten in their charts although the song is still performing well there as well as in Luxembourg and Greece so still stands to sell many more copies.
James is currently busy working on his debut album which is expected to be available in the UK some time later this year.
