There is mounting speculation over the name of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby girl after US gossip website TMZ has claimed that they have seen the birth certificate which proves that she has not been named Kaidence, as was previously thought.

They claim that she has actually been, rather cruelly named North West.

Another website claimed earlier this week that she had been named Kaidence Donda West after Kanye's mother who was named Donda and died back in 2007, though TMZ now claims that these claims were fake.

The couple are yet to officially reveal the name of the child.

Reports say that West has been fiercely protective of his daughter since her birth and is refusing outright to let her be filmed as part of the Kardashian family's reality TV show.

A source said that he only allowed Kim's mother Kris Jenner to film a portion of the birth for the family, but only under his strict instructions.

“The camera crew did attempt to accompany Kim into the hospital,” the source said

“When Kanye arrived, he told them to get lost, which they did. Kanye didn't want this precious moment to be documented for TV. Kim's momager, Kris, who was in the delivery room, filmed portions of it for family viewing only. Kanye told Kris when she could film.”
