Michael Jackson the First Person Ever Not to Sleep for 60 Days
- in Latest
Dr Charles Czeisler, a sleep specialist who has testified in the trail that Michael Jackson's family brought against AEG Promotions claims that Jackson was the first person on record to go for 60 days straight without proper sleep.
He also claimed that Jackson's behaviour and symptoms prior to his death such as forgetting song lyrics and being unable to carry out even the simplest dance moves were “consistent with someone suffering total sleep deprivation over a chronic period”.
Conrad Murray, the doctor who is currently serving a prison sentence after being found guilty of Jackson's manslaughter had administered a sedative Propofol for two months before the singer's death and the drug is known for inducing a coma-like state rather than allowing patients to slip into natural sleep.
This isn't the first unusual twist in the case. Earlier this month, CEO of AEG Randy Philipps testified and claimed that his friend and Lionel Ritchie's ex-wife had contacted the spirit of the late singer who then allegedly claimed that his death was an accident caused by Michael himself.
Though the testimony caused some amusement amongst the jury, it was allowed to stick by the judge.
