BBC bosses have reportedly started their frantic search for a coach to replace Jessie J on The Voice.

Jessie announced that she would be leaving the show late last week in order to focus on promoting her new album, the follow up to her extremely successful debut Who You Are.

Newspaper The Mirror has since reported that there are a number of female artists that the BBC would be interested in signing up to replace her.

Adele would reportedly be at the top of their list but they have apparently admitted that this is probably an unrealistic goal.

An insider told the newspaper: "Jessie will need to be replaced by another female, and it would be great to have someone young and current.

"Paloma Faith, Rita Ora and Emeli Sandé are right up on there on our wishlist of talent.”

There are also fears that without Jessie on the panel, the rest of the star judges will not want to return.

Will.i.am is reported to have said: "As long as the four of us do it, then I'll sign again.

"I think it's important it's the four of us, there's a good chemistry. We talked the last time before we agreed to it and we will this time. It would be hard to do it without the others. I can't think about doing it with someone else. It would be weird."
