Lady Gaga to Start Performing Again
- in Latest
Lady Gaga is set to perform her first gig since undergoing hip surgery earlier in the year.
She suffered with a condition called synovitis which means that her hips were severely enflamed and she also had a labral tear, both of which meant she had to go under the knife to repair the damage.
Her condition meant that for most of the year Gaga has been confined to a wheelchair and was forced to cancel the remaining dates of her Born This Way Ball as well as putting preparations for her new album ARTPOP on hold.
She is now apparently on her feet again and has been booking a number of gig dates, the first of which will be in London’s Roundhouse venue in September.
The gig will act as a launch for ARTPOP and Gaga’s production team Haus of Gaga has reportedly already splashed out a massive £500,000 in order to make sure the release of the new album is celebrated in style.
A source told The Sun: “The gig in Camden has a huge budget and is likely to be the first anyone sees or hears of her album.
“The Haus Of Gaga team have been working in secret on costumes and stage sets for the show from their base in Paris.
“Gaga's dancers have also been rehearsing but she's only told her closest friends about the new direction she's taking.
“The music is going to be a big departure and Gaga's dreamed up a whole new image for the album.”
