Psy has managed to pass the 3 billion views mark on YouTube.

He is only the third artist to do so, the others being Rihanna and Justin Bieber although they both have considerably more videos available on the video sharing site.

Even though Psy also has a number of different videos, he only has two singles that have been released in the West, Gangnam Style and Gentleman so the feat has largely been achieved off the back of those two songs alone which makes it even more impressive.

Released back in 2012 and becoming an instant classic, Gangnam Style became the first ever video to accumulate over a billion views on the video sharing site.

Where it didn’t achieve quite the same levels of success, Psy’s follow-up Gentleman still did incredibly well in terms of views and became the video with the most number of views in 24 hours, racking up an impressive 38.4 million views in one day.

As it currently stands, the total number of views for Gangnam Style is 1.73 billion and Gentleman has 473 million.
