Lady Gaga had confirmed a date for the release of her new album ARTPOP.

The album will be released on November 11th and will be preceded by an app which will be available on September 1st.

The app has been described as "a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology.”

No details have been provided on what specifically that will mean to consumers but it will undoubtedly be made clearer closer to the September release date.

In addition to these announcements, Gaga also revealed that "The Single" off ARPOP will be released on August 19th and that fans will be able to pre-order the album from September.

Very few details have been released about the album itself although a statement says that the album "musically mirrors Gaga’s creative process as she passes through the medium of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint on her journey.”

The album will be launched with an “evening of artRave” at which several artists will be in attendance including Jeff Koons who is best known for his sculpture work.
