Britney Spears has reportedly signed a deal for a Las Vegas residency.

A source revealed that Spears signed the contract with the Planet Hollywood resort and that as part of it she will be required to perform for them for two years.

It is thought the stint will commence sometime around New Year’s Eve and as part of the agreement she will be required to work for a number of consecutive weeks before being allowed a holiday.

Spears has been the subject of a conservatorship since her very public meltdown back in 2008 and as such, she was required to prove to a judge, Reva Goetz that she was of sound mental capacity to be able to handle the stress of such a tight schedule.

A source said: “The judge was impressed with how happy and excited Britney was.”

“Britney assured Goetz she could handle the stress and felt comfortable with the performance schedule.”

As well as her new residency deal, Spears is currently working on a new album which will be the follow up to 2011’s Femme Fatale.
