Spinal Tap to Reunite
- in Latest
Spinal Tap’s creator and also member of the band Christopher Guest has hinted that the band may be getting back together to perform some kind of reunion in 2014.
Speaking in an interview with The Observer, Guest revealed that the spoof band had spoken of a comeback.
"We get asked to do shows on a regular basis. But what I will say is that we're in the midst of talking about something for next year," he said.
The last time the band reunited was back in 2009 for their 25th anniversary and the release of new album, the appropriately named Back From the Dead.
During this time, the band also performed with Jarvis Cocker at Glastonbury.
On this special performance, Guest said: "We played the Pyramid Stage in 2009. It was a fantastic show. There were 130,000 people there or something.
"Since the film [This is Spinal Tap] 30 years ago we've gone on tour, playing Wembley, the Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall… It's weird but great. The fiction became real."
