ITV bosses have unveiled what has been described as the “ultimate X Factor mash-up” ahead of the start of the show’s tenth series.

A full-length version of the mash-up has been uploaded to video sharing site YouTube but a 60 second version will also be shown on ITV in the run up to the new series kicking off.

Many of the show’s most successful acts are shown in the video and samples from songs including Little Mix’s DNA, Leona Lewis’ Bleeding Love and Olly Murs’ Heart Skips a Beat are played over the tune of One Direction’s What Makes you Beautiful.

The video does however leave out several of the show’s winners, Steve Brookstein, Matt Cardle and Leon Jackson.

AT the end of the video show host Dermot O’Leary’s voice can be heard explaining that the show has produced 57 UK chart hits with 33 of those making it to number one.

The latest series of the X Factor is expected to start next month on its usual channel ITV and sees the return of original judge Sharon Osbourne with last year’s judges Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh all returning alongside her.
