Katy Perry’s comeback single Roar has quickly become the biggest selling digital track of 2013 despite that it was released less than a week ago.

It has been estimated that the track will hit the 525,000 sales mark before the end of the week which also means that it is likely to become Perry’s most successful single ever, surpassing many of her other big hits including Firework which sold 509,000 copies in its first week.

It is also highly likely that she will achieve her 8th Billboard number one with the track, which will knock huge summer hit Blurred Lines off of the top spot.

Roar is the first single from Katy’s new album Prism which will be released on October 22nd and is also set to be a huge hit going by the success of its lead single.

Roar is yet to be officially released in the UK which means that the way is clear for Ellie Goulding to dominate the British charts and acquire her first number one with latest single Burn.
