It has been revealed that Leona Lewis is the top-selling X Factor act in the UK.

A recent survey of figures linked to the program shows that the franchise as a whole has produced 30 million single and 18 million album sales since its debut back in 2004.

Lewis has managed to clinch the title of most singles sold with 4.4 million and has also topped the album list with 3.0 million albums sold.

Olly Murs scores second place in terms of single sales with JLS coming third although those positions are switched for the two artists in the album chart with JLS coming second and Murs third.

Alexandra Burke has managed to retain the title of biggest selling winner’s single with Hallelujah although James Arthur is only 30,000 behind her with his single Impossible.
