X Factor judge Louis Walsh has opened up his long standing rift with Ronan Keating once again, describing him as a karaoke artist.

Walsh was being interviewed by The Times magazine and he went into depth about his relationship with the Boyzone singer revealing that the two are no longer on speaking terms.

He described Keating as a "little manufactured popstar who actually believed his own publicity.

"Ronan thought he was George Michael... He said he didn't want to be a karaoke artist. Well that's what he is."

He also forgave journalist Jan Moir in the interview after her controversial comments at the time of Stephen Gately’s death where she said that the circumstances surrounding the incident were "more than a little sleazy”.

Walsh said that the comments were "her opinion" and went on to say "I think she's a good journalist. I've met her since, and I like her."

Walsh spoke very frankly in the interview about other matters as well. He described how he thought Simon Cowell should be knighted and even spoke about his hair transplant saying that he had visited Sharon Osbourne’s plastic surgeon after bald jibes from Cowell.
