Miley Cyrus has reportedly been booked for the X Factor live shows but has apparently been warned to tone down her moves and keep it clean.

Cyrus recently caused controversy at the VMAs for twerking provocatively during her duet with Robin Thicke and according to The Sun bosses on the X Factor are keen to take advantage of her newly found notoriety.

An insider said: "X Factor never miss an opportunity to exploit a situation, so the moment Miley put on THAT routine at the VMAs, producers put the wheels in motion to try to sign her up.

"They can't have her doing anything so raunchy on a Sunday night. They want to be edgy, but at the end of the day The X Factor is a family show and before the watershed."
