Susan Boyle Duets With Elvis
- in Latest
Susan Boyle is set to record a version of the classic Christmas hymn Oh Come all Ye Faithful as a duet with the late Elvis Presley.
The track will appear on Boyle’s upcoming album which will be a collection of well-known Christmas songs re-interpreted by the former Britain’s Got Talent contestant.
The collaboration will mark the first posthumous one with a British artist since Elvis’ death back in 1977 although such collaborations have occurred in the past with Celine Dion and Frank Sinatra.
Boyle was required to gain permission from Elvis’ family to make the collaboration happen and a source told The Sun how she managed to do so.
"Priscilla (Elvis' ex-wife) asked Susan in person why she should be given the honour. Susan gave a hearfelt speech about how much it meant to her family and how Elvis was her father's idol. It must have worked," the source said.
