Lady Gaga has shared her anxiety over the release of her new album with her followers on Twitter.

Ahead of the release of new offering ARTPOP, she posted for her 40 million followers on Twitter: "ok its exactly 6 days till i have to turn in ARTPOP. SONGS check SEASHELLS check MONSTERS check INHALER for album separation anxiety check”.

Fans were treated to the first single from the album Applause earlier than its initial scheduled release thanks to snippets of the song being leaked online.

The change in release date meant that the song went directly up against Katy Perry’s latest offering Roar in a bid to get to the top of the charts and this led to many cross words between fans of the two singers.
