It has been announced that Jessie J will be switching on the Christmas lights in London’s Oxford Street this year.

The former Voice mentor will be joined at the event, which is hosted by Selfridges by last year’s X Factor winner James Arthur and Connor Maynard.

As well as switching on the lights, Jessie will also perform at the event.

She spoke of her excitement at being chosen to perform saying: "I'm so excited to be turning the Oxford Street Christmas Lights on this year.

"I'm honoured to be a part of such a big event in London's Christmas season. What a way to celebrate the end of my tour!"

The switch on takes place next Tuesday (November 12th).
