The Department of Agriculture in Australia has declared Katy Perry’s new album Prism a biohazard.

The deluxe edition of the album contains a small packet of seeds which fans are then encouraged to plant for the environment but international versions of the album contain seeds from plants that aren't native to Australia and have been declared a risk to the local ecosystem.

The local version of the album that contains seeds from Western Australia have been declared harmless but any albums that fans purchase from overseas could be seized by Australian customs if it is thought they could pose a risk.

So far Prism has performed well in the Australian charts having debuted at number one in the charts.
