Bands McFly and Busted have announced plans to join forces to become a super group and go on tour together.

The super group, dubbed McBusted will tour around the UK in spring next year playing many high profile venues including the O2 in London.

As part of the collaboration, Matt Willis and James Bourne formerly of Busted will join all of the members of McFly with the notable absence of Charlie Simpson.

The group made the announcement at the Soho Hotel in London and Matt Willis joked: "It's good to be here for something positive. Last time was quite depressing, so at least this time it's quite cheerful!"

He was of course referring to the fact that the last time Busted made an announcement at the hotel was to tell the media that they would be splitting up.
