Katy Perry has announced that she will be embarking on a world tour next year to promote her latest album Prism.

She announced that news on her Twitter page saying: “I'M GOING ON A WORLD WIDE TOUR!!!Playing ALL your favorite songs AND all the brand new ones!”

The dates and locations have not yet been revealed but Perry will apparently be doing so on Twitter tomorrow.

She tweeted: "GUESS WHERE I'LL BE KICKING IT OFF?"

"TOMORROW (Monday) I will reveal all! Clue: I love these people and their accents."

Perry’s last world tour was 2011’s California Dream tour which went on to become one ofthe highest grossing tours of that year with 124 dates.
