HMV Remove Lostprophets Music From Their Stores
- in Latest
HMV have confirmed that they will no longer be stocking any of Lostprophets’ back catalogue after Ian Watkins’ trial earlier this week.
The entertainment retailer confirmed that they will no longer stick any of the band’s music online and in store and have instructed all of their staff members to remove any of the offending items from their shelves.
Apple have been contacted by NME to see if they will be following HMV’s lead in removing Lostprophets album from iTunes but have declined to comment as yet.
Amazon were also approached but they also declined to comment.
Since Watkins pleaded guilty earlier in the week, more details have emerged about the extent of his crimes.
An investigation has also been launched into South Wales Police and their handling of the case after it emerged that an ex-girlfriend of Watkins approached them four years ago to say that he had admitted to her that he was a paedophile but the compliant was never followed up.
