Thousands of people have signed an online petition aimed at giving the horse that kicked rapper Dappy in the face earlier this week a Brits Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

It was revealed earlier in the week that Dappy had been rushed to hospital after he had fallen from the horse and subsequently been kicked in the face by the animal.

Although no serious lasting damage was caused to the former N-Dubz star, internet jokers have set up the petition aimed at giving the Brit Award to the horse at the ceremony next year.

So far there has been a huge response to the petition with 2,000 people having signed it already but in order for it to gain approval, it must achieve over 990,000 signatures.
