Music streaming site Spotify have launched a new website aimed at giving artists information and support about royalties.

Dubbed the Spotify Artists service, the site will help artists to predict the amount of money that they stand to earn if they make their music available to be streamed on the main site.

In addition to that and with the help of Next Big Sound's Artist Analytics, the site will also provide musicians with information relating to online music trends.

In the past, Spotify have come under scrutiny for the amount of money they pay to artists although it has recently been announced that since its launch in 2009, the firm have paid out over £610.23 million in royalties.
