The Official Charts Company has revealed that Robin Thicke’s massive summer hit Blurred Lines is currently the biggest selling song of the year so far in the UK.

The controversial song has sold more than 1.44 million copies to date beating the second biggest seller of the year, Daft Punk’s Get Lucky.

Daft Punk’s comeback single managed to sell 1.28 million copies.

Avicii’s Wake Me Up completed the top three having sold 1.12 million copies and also claiming the title of the fastest selling song of the year.

Other top selling songs of the year that were also in the top 10 include Let Her Go by Passenger, Roar by Katy Perry and Mirrors by Justin Timberlake.

The top selling song of last year was Gotye’s Somebody That I Used to Know.
