YouTube have released figures for the most popular video of 2013.

Korean rapper Psy managed to fend off two videos from pop giant Miley Cyrus in order to become the top trending video of 2013 with the accompanying video for his single “Gentleman”.

Miley did however manage to claim the next two spots on the list with “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop” respectively.

The list of the top trending videos of the year is the fifth of its kind and helps to celebrate the fact that there are now over 6 billion hours of video viewed on the site every month.
