One Direction have been named the top selling X Factor act by Amazon.

The boy band have the highest number of sales on both the US and UK Amazon sites and have also become the band with the fastest selling album of 2013, beating previous title holder Daft Punk.

Olly Murs came second in the list closely followed by JLS to complete the top three.

Only half of the artists in the top 10 actually won their respective series’ with One Direction only finishing in third place back in 2010 so it’s not necessarily all over for artists that don’t win the show.

The top 10 best selling X Factor artists on Amazon is as follows:
