Justin Bieber has hinted that he intends to retire from music during a radio interview.

During an interview for Power 106 in Los Angeles, the “Baby” singer told his interviewer: "After the new album, I'm actually retiring man. I'm retiring.

"I want to grow as an artist and I'm taking a step out, I want my music to mature."

He continued: "People think I'm arrogant, I'm not, I've always been a caring and giving person. I'm here solely for my fans and for the music."

A source close to the star insisted that he was simply joking although Bieber alluded to the fact that he has had enough with his fame and the notoriety that is attached to it.

"I got to the point where I thought, 'I don't want to do this. I just want to be normal.' It was difficult because I'd never gone through anything like that,” He continued.

“Usher was like, 'Prepare to have this for the rest of your career because it's not going to stop.' He's gone through some stuff and most artists go through their fair share of bull. That was just my first time."
