Lily Allen has revealed that her record company persuaded her to stop using her married name upon relaunching her music career.
When Lily first married Sam Cooper back in 2011 she initially started using her married name, even changing her name on Twitter to Lily Rose Cooper.
She has now revealed that her record company convinced her to revert to her maiden name so as to avoid confusion.
"Sadly, in this day and age, I still need their support," Lily told NME.
"They're the bank manager and if they don't get their money out, then I'm not going to get anywhere.
"I understand that my name is quite big, but it's about picking your battles..."
Lily Allen will be releasing her new album later this year.
