Strictly Come Dancing Live waltzes ahead of X Factor Live with twice the ticket demand
- in Latest
The Strictly Come Dancing Live tour is currently receiving 100% more ticket demand compared to the X Factor Live tour, according to ticket marketplace Seatwave.
Despite trailing Strictly in terms of ticket demand, two additional dates were added to the X Factor Live tour today. The BBC dance show consistently beat the Simon Cowell talent franchise in the TV ratings war last year, which despite a revised judging line up continued to haemorrhage viewers.
Louise Mullock, spokesperson for Seatwave, says: “BBC’s Strictly has managed to carry its rating success over to its live tours. Although there is still plenty of interest in the X Factor tour, exemplified by the addition of two extra shows, Strictly is by far and away the more popular tour. Media mogul Simon Cowell must be scratching his head wondering how to stop the Strictly Come Dancing juggernaut.”
