Miley Cyrus has attempted to give Justin Bieber advice following his recent brushes with the law.

Just this week, Bieber was taken into police custody once again following his alleged assault of a limo driver and last week he was also arrested for driving under the influence.

Miley herself is no stranger to controversy having been open to taking drugs and wearing revealing outfits.

Miley spoke words of wisdom in an interview with Jay Leno: “You've got a lot of money and pay people to make sure you don't get in trouble.

“I get the most flack yet I'm not doing anything illegal, everything I do is legal in California.

"I'm doing a lot of sh*t, but I'm not doing anything illegal so that's alright."

Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus has also recently reached out to Bieber saying: "A lot of people do ask me for parenting advice. So I would say, first of all, hey, I'm sure he's got lots of people talking to him right now. I would just invite him to come down and chill out with me, maybe in Tennessee.

"Let's go up to the tepee, build a fire, step away and just, you know, maybe take a break for a little bit, just think about what's important. Get back to life... Build a fire, count the deer and the hawks and relax a little bit."
